Everyone well chuffed here at Melodical as a piece Alex wrote for solo piano last year is being used to trail a new BBC initiative called “iWonder” on Radio 4. The piece, written for Velvet Ears in L.A.’s Neo-classical 2 album, is available via the Extreme Music library: Album
Or give it a listen!
Melodical’s team of writers were excited to be given the chance to write a whole album for The Scoring House during 2012. Here’s it being mastered Working under the name The Haberdashery Sessions, Angela, Oli, Garo and Alex have produced a truly refreshing pop, folk, soundtrack, and country-tinged compilation, called, quite rightly, “Delectable Eclectica”.
You can listen to the album here: thescoringhouse.

Two ditties emerged… “Sailor Girl” and “Summer Sun”. And now you can hear them too…
One of Melodical’s recent collabo’s, and a moment of keeping it “in the family” – Brother Mayor on keys and composing duties, has been picked up by Channel 4 for use in programming. Exciting! The track met a fairly broad brief, somewhere between wistful, cinematic and the quirkiness that is a-bit-Charlie-Kaufman.
Check out what we’re calling “Mezzanine”:
Melodical writers have recently contributed various tracks to KPM musichouse – producing some cool and pulsing instrumentals for KPM’s ever-growing library of high quality production music that has that something-a-little-different about it. TV music with a bit of out-to-lunch thinking and a sprinkle of daytime day-glo. (We can’t play any samples here as they now belong to KPM but we’re chuffed none the less!)
